Working on Companies UI

I recently talked about one of my favorite features in macaco-contacts. Companies is clearly one of those things I have added in the application that I consider to improve Apples’ address book. But being able to store Companies with its representatives is not good if you do not add a nice UI.

I have done some work on that and I’m proud to show the current work on the companies UI section:

Main dialog

This is the main dialog that is used to add a new company in the application. I have tried to display all the company information without overwhelming the user.

Positions widget

As with the contact data I’m using a tree view to display the information without to much extra UI space used.

Data

Companies represents contacts in the system. This means that companies can have their own contact data, great to be used with mail boxes, support telephone numbers etc..

I will be trying to package the application during the weekend as soon as I believe that it is usable. I’m not too far for that so hopefully some of you will be able to have some fun
